Cookie & Local-Storage Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
We keep this light. PDF Fill uses your browser's local storage for essential functionality and sets
no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Third-party cookies appear only if you choose Google sign-in or, later, a checkout.
What we store on your device
| Item | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Session token & (if you tick "stay signed in") your encryption key | localStorage | Keep you signed in and your vault unlocked on this device. Essential. |
| Your open document & edits | IndexedDB | So a page refresh doesn't lose your work. Essential. |
| Preferences (fonts/styles), panel sizes, panel open/closed, current zoom | localStorage | Remember your settings. Essential/functional. |
| Last used email, cookie-notice dismissal | localStorage | Convenience. |
| Google Sign-In | Third-party cookies | Only if you use "Continue with Google" — set by Google per its policy. |
| Payment checkout (future) | Third-party cookies | Only during a checkout with our payment processor. |
Consent
The items marked "essential" are strictly necessary for the service to work and don't require consent under the ePrivacy rules. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Third-party cookies (Google, checkout) load only when you actively choose those features.
Managing it
You can clear this at any time by signing out, deleting site data in your browser settings, or simply not using Google sign-in / checkout. Clearing storage will sign you out and remove locally-saved work and settings.
