Terms of Service

1. Who we are & acceptance
Effortly (pdf.clearlogicassist.com) is provided by Clear Logic Assist Ltd., Malta (clearlogicassist.com) ("we"). By using it you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
A browser-based tool to fill, edit, sign, compress and export PDF documents. Features are provided on an "as-is" basis and may change. Documents are filled, signed and compressed on your own device. Two optional actions send a document to us, each one a button you press: "compress on our server" in the browser (that single request, then discarded), and "Smart placement wrong here?", which sends the BLANK form with your note. The Android app from Google Play does neither — it compresses on the device.
3. Your documents & responsibility
You keep all rights to the documents and content you open or create. Effortly is a tool, not legal, tax or professional advice. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and validity of the documents you produce and for how you use them.
4. Accounts
You must provide a valid email, keep your credentials safe, and be at least 16. One account per person unless we agree otherwise. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or breach these Terms.
5. Pricing & billing
During early access there are no payments and nothing to buy. Filling, signing, saving and compressing a document are open to everyone, with or without an account, and no part of the app asks for money. This section describes how billing is intended to work once the professional half (Pro) becomes available; until then none of it applies, and nothing below is being charged.
- Pro will be an optional paid tier for the features that make repeat work easy — several wallets, more synced documents, refilling one form for the next person, and saving a document that reopens as a form.
- Complimentary access may be granted at our discretion, disabling charges for that account.
- Prices, when they exist, will be in euros (EUR) and may include applicable VAT, and will be shown before anything is bought.
6. Payments, refunds & withdrawal (consumers)
Effortly is currently free and takes no payments. Nothing in the app or on this site charges you, and there is no balance to spend. If paid features are introduced, payment will be handled by a Merchant of Record, these Terms will be updated before anything is charged, and your statutory rights as an EU consumer — including the 14-day right of withdrawal, to the extent it applies to digital services you ask us to begin at once — will be set out here in full.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the service for anything unlawful, to process content you have no right to, to infringe others' rights, to attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or to defraud the billing system.
8. Intellectual property
The software, design and brand are ours (or our licensors'). We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. You retain your own content.
9. Availability & disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will suit a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for death, personal injury, or fraud). Where liability is permitted to be limited, it will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the account menu (your data is wiped immediately; see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access for breach or abuse.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms; the current version is always posted here.
