Delete your account and data
Last updated: 11 October 2026 · Applies to Effortly: PDF Form Filler (Android, developer: Clear Logic Assist Ltd.) and to Effortly on the web.
1. In the Android app
- Open Effortly.
- Open Settings — the gear at the top right of the home screen, or the ⋮ menu → Settings while a document is open.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. The account is deleted straight away and the app signs you out.
2. In the browser
- Open geteffortly.com/app and sign in.
- Open the account menu (top right) → Delete account.
- Confirm.
3. By email
If you cannot sign in, write to support@clearlogicassist.com from the address the account uses, with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm the deletion within 7 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address — it is the only way we can tell it is yours.
Deleting only part of it, and keeping the account
You do not have to delete the account to have something removed. Write to support@clearlogicassist.com from the address the account uses, say what you want gone, and we will do it within 7 days — a form you sent us through "Smart placement wrong here?", a message you sent through Feedback & ideas, or anything else we hold for you. Your wallet and your documents are not in that list because we do not hold them: they live on your device and, if you connected one, in your own Google Drive, where you can delete them yourself at any time.
4. What is deleted, and when
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your encrypted wallet, salts, authentication verifiers and recovery key material | Erased immediately, irreversibly. |
| Balance, entitlement and subscription state | Erased immediately. |
| Email address, aggregate counts (documents saved) and the deletion date | Kept as a minimal tombstone for up to 90 days to prevent abuse and for accounting, then permanently purged. |
| Crash reports and usage counters | Hold no account identifier at all, so there is nothing in them to link to you or to delete. |
| Technical server logs (IP, timestamps) | Expire on their own short schedule. |
5. What deletion does NOT touch
- Files in your Google Drive. Wallets and documents Effortly saved there belong to your Google account, not to us — we cannot read them and we do not delete them. Remove the Effortly folder in Drive yourself if you want them gone, and revoke the app's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Files on your phone or computer. PDFs you saved are ordinary files in your own storage.
- The app's local data (recent documents, drafts, a wallet kept on the device). Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Android Settings → Apps → Effortly → Storage, removes all of it.
6. Starting again
While the 90-day tombstone exists, that email address cannot sign in or create a new account — this is what stops a deleted account being re-created to dodge limits. After it is purged, the address is free to use again. If you need it sooner, write to us.
